Masaryk University continued with the activities of the programme for international graduates launched last year and organised another outdoor barbecue, with almost 100 participants from 21 countries attending.

Twenty-seven-year-old Norwegian Eirik Karlsen worked in the army for three years but then found out during a first-aid training session that he was drawn to working with and treating people. So, he decided to go back to school again, this time as a general medicine student at MU.

Lieutenant General Dagvin Anderson is a member of the United States Air Force. From 2000 to 2002 he studied at Masaryk University in Brno. Find out about what brought him to Czechia, how he remembers it and how his studies in Brno influenced him.

News from the Masaryk University

In the prestigious international QS World University Rankings, which were published on 27 June 2023, Masaryk University achieved a historic success by being ranked among the top 400 universities in the world.
|
|
|
This success highlights excellent basic research with great application potential. Obtaining a patent is a prerequisite for the development of new drugs and for potential collaboration with pharmaceutical companies.

Masaryk University has had another successful season of summer schools. Almost 150 foreign students came to Brno, half of them for one of the nine two-week intensive programmes.

Everything is changing and Brno is no exception

On Monday, Brno’s latest public art was unveiled to the public. The cone-shaped water features in front of the New Town Hall on Dominikánské náměstí were designed by Tomáš Pavlacký and Michael Gabriel.
