International Student and Alumni Meetup Brno 2024
The International Student and Alumni Meetup in Brno is an exciting event dedicated to fostering connections among international students and alumni of Czech universities. This unique gathering will take place on 31 October 2024, and promises an engaging mix of networking opportunities, informative workshops, and vibrant cultural activities.
The event is divided into the afternoon workshops and the evening programme.

Masaryk University and its efforts to help Ukraine have attracted the attention of the European Parliament. The EP featured the DigiUni project in its three-and-a-half minute video, choosing it among many other projects from across Europe that promote the EU-Ukraine partnership.

Masaryk University is among world’s top 500 universities for the third time, according to the most recent Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU). MU is the only Czech university to improve its ranking by two hundred places since 2021.

After two years of intense preparation, Masaryk University is one of the first universities in Europe to introduce micro-credentials, which will bring a significant change to lifelong learning.

Masaryk University has completed another successful summer school season. International students could apply for one of 19 summer schools focused for example on human rights, energy or social policy, international security, sustainability, business, sports, linguistics or embryology, or 3D printing in pharmacy.

South Moravia maintained its position as one of the most sought-after destinations in the Czech Republic during the second quarter of 2024, with 589,000 visitors arriving and over 1 million people staying over-night as part of their travels.
|

|
Being able to pay the rent alone is not easy, but the notion of obtaining a municipal apartment in Brno as a young working person was until recently highly unrealistic. However, the city has now made available 12 affordable municipal flats designed specially for young people living alone. Applications are also open to foreign nationals provided they have permanent residence in the Czech Republic.

Bike sharing support fund for 2024 already exhausted as rides increase by 20%
The City of Brno’s public support fund for bike sharing gives all users in the city a free 30-minute bicycle trip twice a day. The scheme is running for its second year, and this year will end on 30 September.
