Masaryk University has produced a new video ad to promote itself abroad. Tuhina Mishra, a student with Japanese and Indian roots who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine this year, takes the lead role.

The Dornych shopping centre, formerly housing the Tesco department store, was demolished in late November 2024. This Brutalist structure, adjacent to Brno’s train station and formerly known as "Prior", will be replaced by a mixed-use development of six new buildings, designed by the Crestyl development company.

Applications are now open to spend summer 2025 in Brno with Masaryk University. Students can choose from a range of opportunities, including a 2-week course focused on sports, business, pharmacy, politics, or inclusivity policy; a 3-week intensive summer school on sustainability or security, featuring travel across Central Europe; or a 9-week internship at Masaryk University laboratories contributing to international research projects.
