On-Arrival Information

Your arrival to Brno is getting closer and I am looking forward to meeting you in person! I am sending you some tips on how to safely arrive and settle down in Brno and what you are expected to do after your arrival.

1. Sign up for orientation activities

SEE YOUR MUNI ONLINE APPLICATION to sign up for admission and orientation activities.
After that, PRINT OUT THE TICKET OR DOWNLOAD IT TO YOUR PHONE!

(You have to do this even if you didn't pay for the Orientation Week package)

2. Don't forget to bring

  • accommodation contract printed twice
  • Czech money
  • printed ticket (or saved in your smartphone) with signed-up orientation activities
  • any form your university requires to be confirmed upon your arrival (Certificate of Arrival etc.)
  • photos (for the ESN card, the transport pass or other cards)
  • suit / formal dress if you want to participate in the ESN International Students' Ball

3. Apply for pick-up or a buddy

If you have not applied for a PICK-UP SERVICE or a BUDDY (a volunteer MUNI student) who can help you settle down in Brno, you can still do so. Just click here.

Wondering how to buy a public transport pass? Check out your options HERE.

Admission

Every student is obliged to come to the admission. Everybody has to sign up for the admission day in the MUNI online application (in "follow-up applications"). You will get a registration folder with important documents and a lot of life-saving information. There will be a presentation and a discussion on study-related issues.
