"BRNO is great for student life and I love that there was a multi cultural element to our program. I loved learning about all the cultures and spending time with the different ethnicities and seeing the world through their eyes. It was eye opening and a lesson to always be grateful and mindful of the little things we take for granted back home."

"Studying abroad in Brno was more than I could have ever asked for. I didn’t really know what to expect going in but I left with some of the most valuable lessons and experiences of my life. It really begins with opening your mind and wanting to do as much as you possibly can to embrace the culture. Some of the best memories for me: Telc bike ride & lake, Brno music festival, Krakow, Budapest, Wine tours, Czech dancing, Lake cruise, Goodbye bbq"
For two weeks, 9-22 July, we will welcome students to participate in our 'Intensive Summer School'. Students are able to choose from one of the academic classes below to participate in. Outside of class we will offer culture and social activities as well as some site visits to local organizations.
These courses have an application deadline of 15 May, however we encourage students to apply early to secure their spot
A different perspective – Our programmes enable students to attend classes that they may not be able to take at their home institution, or at least not from the same perspective.
Enhance intercultural communication skills – By attending a summer/winter school with a foreign university, students are introduced to students and faculty members from all over the world.
Preparing students for their future career – The programmes organized through Masaryk University strive to prepare students for their future careers at the same time as focusing on the academic. Now more than ever, it is important for students to learn how to virtually collaborate and present ideas.
Get ahead for next year – Whether a 2 week or 10 week programme, all of our courses offer ECTS allowing students to make up for courses they may have missed, or to help them get ahead for future semesters.
Cost effective – Masaryk University’s winter and summer schools have always been cost effective in comparison to many other offerings, and the same is true also with our online summer schools. Academic rigor is not lost, however Masaryk University believes educational opportunities should be available to all.
Masaryk University is proud to continue our tradition since 2004 of offering faculty led/tailored made programmes. If you are interested in collaborating with us, let us know by emailing Erin Anna Smith at smith@czs.muni.cz or by filling out this form.
To make your promotion easier, we have prepared email drafts and social media (Facebook and Instagram) posts for you to download and use. These can be found here. Please tag our Facebook and Instagram so students can write us with questions!.
At the moment there are materials for our winter schools and general winter/summer school experience. We will update this link with additional programmes in the future.
