Hi to all my Australian friends!
You might have heard this from me in the past, but I am keen to state even in writing: I have had a pleasure to work with students from across the globe, and I found the Aussies the most rewarding to do so. True, there were moments when you made my life (or mornings to be more specific) miserable, but despite the fact I never visited Australia I became very fond of the country and its people especially.
I am contacting you today to share some news from Brno and Masaryk University, but in the same time ensure I am able to keep working with your fellow countrymen.

Few interesting things about Brno!
Most of the airports are struggling with the lockdown, but the one in Brno that is usually quite quiet got busy.
If you are interested how Brno has changed also outside the airport, here is apparently the honest guide presenting it. I am sure you know the Brno bars and pubs better, so I would like to hear your opinion!
And to remind you what it takes to be a student at Masaryk University, you can check out this video!

Help us spread a word about January and February programs!
This year is quite challenging for many of us, and sadly it has been fatal for AIM Overseas. They had to close down their business in the spring. Even without their support and in spite of the pandemic restrictions we plan to carry on with the courses we developed together. In January we are running online options of International Law and Human Rights as well as International Relations and Threats to Global Security. These courses can’t take place physically during our “winter” period, so neither skiing, nor skating sessions will not be provided, but all those cool instructors will be present and as we all know them, we know they will make great academic experiences. On top of the excellent academic experience, it is our priority to continue offering ways for students to have an international experience - these courses will have participants from all over the world!
And no worries, we will also attend UN and OECD Headquarters in Vienna, as well as all the other cool places that are on our itinerary.
I believe you found these courses interesting and hopefully you would find them worth recommending to your friends. If so, please do so now, the deadline with a discount is November 30!

“Summer” offer in Brno
There is currently no country with as many recorded COVID 19 cases per capita than Czech Republic. It is therefore ironic, and maybe a little optimistic that we are doing everything we can to have students in our summer season (June-July) physically in Brno. First of all, there is certainly much more to gain and learn by being physically on site, especially considering the intercultural piece. Moreover, Brno is a great place to explore, but the main reasons are egoistic: Frankly – the actual interaction with students – guided tours, bus trips to Budapest, hanging out in cafes or pubs, visits to the wine cellars, etc. – has always been the most satisfying part of my work, so I can’t imagine keeping my work online only.
We are preparing a few programs that can be to an interest for Aussies, with the courses we did with AIM, but also others. Please have a look at our website and please help us to raise an awareness!

What about you? Would you consider coming back to Brno yourself?
Hey, we are not great just in our short-term programs. There are Master’s or Doctorate programs that would be thrilled to have students with your reputation. With masters programs offered in International Relations, Energy Policy, Conflict and Democracy, or Business, to name a few, there are many different options to further your studies. Have a look at the full offering for masters and PhD studies. and let me know if you need any assistance.
